Stargazing

Discover the night skies inside a potable planetarium and, weather permitting, go outside and observe for real. The Friends of Lincombe Barn Park & Woods welcome you to a stargazing evening aimed at absolute beginners of all ages, families especially welcome.

After a short introduction we will entre the planetarium where we will sit in the floor in darkness for 30-40 minutes as Steve Parkinson guides us through the constellations, stars and interesting objects tin the night sky. Afterwards there will be an opportunity to complete a star chart and head outside if clear.

Please bring a cushion to sit on and warm clothing for outside. Due to limited availability please book in advance via parkandwoods@gmail.com The event is free but donations to secure future events are welcome.
